A s some of you may have heard, Crossover Fantasy Football will be changing next year in terms of business format; in that, well, there will be no business format. We will continue to run our site just as we have in all prior years, but our administrative approach will match that of year 1 (2002). Initially this site was created to support our own leagues we were in. We eventually expanded to allow the public access to our software. Eventually traffic, users, and demand got so high that the only way we could operate and still give every league proper assitance was to start charging. Next year, we will go back to our original plan - primarily to have fun and help out some leagues.. But with a few extra tweaks. This no longer being a business however, this site will be offered in a "use at your own risk" fashion. If you want to continue using Crossover Fantasy Football as your league management home, you must agree to ALL of the terms listed below:

  • Crossover Fantasy Football is no longer a business. We will not profit in any way. In fact, we will put money out of our own pockets to fund this site.
  • We will offer this site as a charitable service. Fantasy football is a great pasttime, one that we personally greatly enjoy, and we honestly don't believe you should be charged for managing your league. We will simply do our best to help you and your league, but we're not offering much more than that, nor are we offering any guarantees of any kind.
  • We are no longer operating under a code of business ethics, but a code of morals and personal ethics. Consider The Golden Rule the new business code here.
  • We are going to run this site how we want to run it. Get over it dude.
  • We want the vibe around here to be a good one. Thus, any league or anyone we (the site administrators) feel is disrupting the community (and that VERY much includes us - the site administrators) will be promptly booted - user(s) and/or league as a whole. If you're purposely causing a fuss, especially in a public fashion, consider yourself gone very soon.
  • We are absolutely giving you no guarantees. We will do our best to keep the site available as close to 24/7 as possible, to keep the live scoring running as smooth as possible, and the final weekly statistics as accurate as possible. But you know what? The software might mess up every now and then. We might mess up every now and then. Neither may happen, or both may happen - and at inopportune times. We're not claiming to be in control of unfortunate events: poop happens.
  • We may be available on gamedays to troubleshoot and fix errors that may come up. We may not. We may be available to help troubleshoot issues with your online draft. We may not. We may be available to help you and your league during your playoffs, and we may not.
  • Won't your level of support decrease if a bunch more leagues sign up? Not really. At least, not for bug fixes. When a bug or statistical anomoly exists, it almost always affects the majority of the leagues out there.. So when we fix the bug, it will fix the problem for everyone out there. The only decrease in support you may see will be along the lines of enhancement requests. We still plan on doing them, but we will inevitably receive more and won't be able to complete those as fast.
  • Basically a good rule of thumb on all the above: if you've used our site before and never really had much to complain about, you'll probably be fine here. However if you or any of your league's members have ever thought the world was coming to an end because one of your or their players had an inaccurate statistic, you might be better off looking for another site. We only tell you this now because we'd hate to have to boot you or your league off of our site in the middle of the season because you're being a punk. Not really though.
