AirRaid:ok lets start it off with NE-Indy
i got Indy

6:20 PM
Bulldogs:This game is going to be a classic

AiRaid:with Law and Poole, at NE, in week 1, the Colts lost by only 3 pts.
i think when u take them both out, and consider the fact that Manning burnt Den for 457 yd even with Bailey and Lynch, you can't stop them

Bulldogs:Yeah, but I am taking one factor in this game, something that I dont think favors Manning at all, BAD WEATHER
game time temps will be in the teens
The field has reportebly been terrible the whole week,
Yes Peyton and the Colts are a machine
However no turf, in a playoff game aginst the champs, Ill take the reliable Brady and the Patriots

AirRaid:Last year, in bad weather, the Colts could've won, but two factors made them lose. Ty Law who isn't playing. And NE holding the WRs. There will be none of that this year.

Bulldogs:Bad weather takes away Big plays
also hurts traction and footing, not allowing the Colt recievers to make normal cuts
Home crowd, with still much to prove, im going NE

AirRaid:I'm just saying, if the Colts held with them last year, why not this year, when the circumstances help them more?

Bulldogs:Corey dillon
I think he will set the tone in this game
finished with 6 out of his 8 games over 100 yds
and if NE commits to the run
IND is in trouble

AiRaid:Do you think the game will be close?

Bulldogs:o yes
without a doubt
possible OT
I just see NE out on top

AirRaid:In close games, I'm always gonna take the passing team. When it comes down to the final minutes, running the ball won't do it. You have to conserve the ball and have the big play ability of Manning.

6:30 PM
Bulldogs:Well I am the opposite, I think a good running game is huge down the strecth, getting good rives and not givin Manning and CO. time to work
Next game?

AirRaid:Pit-NYJ
Pittsburgh's my pick.

Bulldogs:Same here, With Pennington hurt, and the Steelers playing like they are immune ot losing, PIT is the obvious choice
The jets will stay close for a while
But in the end, steelers win by 2td's

AirRaid:Pittsburgh beat Buffalo pretty bad without Big Ben.

Bulldogs:exactly

AR:Do you have any injury updates on Pit

Bd:Weel Bettis is not 100%, neither is Plax
however no starters are listed as out

AR:Even if both are out, I don't think it will be a big factor.
Staley will play more this game with Bettis banged up.
Ok, so now lets do Min-Philly
I have an upset here with Min.

Bd:game of the week in my opinion

AR:i think NE-Indy's better, just b/c of the history

Bd:Well does my screenname (Eagles2487) tell you who im goin with?

AR:hmm... i wonder...

Bd:Well Minnesota is the most inconsistent team in the NFL. We go one week saying how bad the Vikes are to how great they are because they best a depleted Packers team with an off target QB
Everyone is saying how rusty the Eagles will be
but from listening to the players this week, all they can think about is playing

AR:I am picking the Vikes exactly for their inconsistancy. When they are their best, they are one of the best in the league. And the way they played GB they were at their best. They all said they had the best week of practace all season, and they were right.
I think it will be a close game, but Phi has noone to throw to when they need a big play.
And Westbrook has never tacken a lot of carries.

Bd:Lets not forget Randy Moss and his ankle
he may play
but Lito Sheppard is a playmaker
and a much better corner that the Eagles reject(AL Haris)

AR:What happens when Moss moons Sheppard?

6:40 PM
Bd:Wont happen
Noty because Moss will how self-restraint
its because Moss will not score
MARK IT DOWN

AR:Philly is still not a great run D, even with Trotter, and Min has 4 tallented RBs.
But a lot of it comes down to Moss.

Bd:Moe injured
Moore gets no carries

AR:I don't think the injury was too serious, and he played through injury before.

Bd:True
but hes going against a Pro Bowl secondary
in a hostile enviorment
The Eagles will pressure Culpepper early and often
and CPEP will not have the time to go to Moss deep
Moss was 100% in week 2
and was held to 69 yds, and not one catch over 22 yds

AR:In week 2, Daunte peppered the D for 343 yd and 37/47 passing, so Moss's subpar game wasn't a big factor

Bd:Vikes still lost. Minnesota lives or dies by the big play
restrict that
and The EAGLES win w/o a doubt
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
sorry had to get that out
its been a while....

AR:The Igles DBs are much smaller than Moss and the other WRs. They will outjump the DBs for some big plays.

Bd:Well they have safties that will take your head off
jumping only goes so far
Randy Moss at 50% hit by B-Dawk
He is not gonna be jumping again for a while

AR:Moss isn't the whole offense. They got some good RBs and WRs like Burleson. If B-Dawk goes to Moss's side too much, the other guys will be open.
It has happened against most teams the Vikes faced.

6:50 PM
Bd:Michael Lewis is just as talented as Dawk
Eagles win, end of story, it will be close, but the Eagles will get it done

AR:well, lets go to the next game
StL @ Atl

Bd:This is the upset game for me
The Rams have that look in their eye right now
Bulger is fully healthy, and its showing

AR:I think Atlanta will wipe them up, like they did in week 2.
Vick was 14/19 for 179 yds and 12 carries for 109 yd.
AR:StL is too inconsistent and lives and dies by the big play.

Bd:sort of like MIN
however
there offense is just the right type to attack the ATL weak secondary
6:55 PM
I have no trust in the turnover machine Vick
I see STL going into ATL, jumping out early, and going to the NFCCG in Philly

Bd:I have no trust in the 29th ranked run D.
Vick will scramble out. He will force StL to spy him. StL doesn't have A. Williams. And Crumpler and Price will exploit the lack of coverage.
And the Falcons will run it with Dunn and Duckett.

Bd:Peerless Price is a huge bust
Duckett is not 100%

AR:Peerless was paid too high a Price. Acctually, I think it shows how Vick is a bad passer, since Price was good with Buffalo, but I still like Atl to win.
I once again bring up their 34-17 drubbing of them week 2.

Bd:Well cant always look at a game 18 weeks ago
Rams have confidence
and I like them to win

AR:They barely beat Seattle.
All because of Engram's stone hands.

Bd:Seattle is a decent team

AR:A tallented team, maybe, but going 9-7 after they got off to a 3-0 start in the NFL's weekest division isn't something to talk about.

Bd:were not talking SEATTLE here, a team that beat the Falcons to get into the playoffs
We're talking about the #29 run D, the Rams.

final thoughts?

Should be 4 close games this weekend, games that for the most part that could go either way. However, when the sun settles, the most consistent teams will win

Well, Sunday is the best day. It starts out with Min-Philly at 1, then NE-Indy at 4:30. The new rules favor passing teams, and both of my picks for these games throw the ball. This is the best weekend in football, and I'm gonna love it.
