Duce is ready to play: Steelers RB Duce Staley is ready to return to action after taking part in every practice for the past 2 weeks. If Staley is activated for this week's game against the Pats he will be used as a 3rd down back and Willie Parker will still be the starting RB. Jerome Bettis continues to be sidelined.

Stephen Davis upgraded: After missing Wednesday's practice with a sore neck Stephen Davis was back in practice Thursday and barring a set back between now and Sunday he will be the starting RB again this week for the Panthers.

Thomas Jones has sand in his vagina: The Bears so called RB Thomas Jones took exception to a comment by rookie RB Cedrick Benson. Benson was quoted as saying his presence was motivating Thomas Jones to play better (anything over 2 yards a carry is better so it isn't hard). Jones responded with "Cedric Benson has nothing to do with my game whatsoever, I've been running the ball ever since I've been playing football, before I knew Cedric Benson. And I'll continue to run the ball, whether I'm here or somewhere else." Hey Thomas, I hear the CFL can always use NFL rejects.

Mike Vick ready to go: Vick practiced on Thursday and barring a set back between now and kickoff on Sunday he will start against the Bills.

Suggs ready to play: Browns RB Lee Suggs practiced for the second straight day on Thursday and says he is ready to play. Suggs has been out with a high ankle sprain.

49ers take a hit: San Fran's TE Eric Johnson will miss the remainder of the season after the team put him on injured reserve with plantar fascitis.

Indy Colts' WRs: Both Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison are having some injury problems. Reggie dislocated his finger in practice on Thursday but returned after having it treated. Marvin sat out with his injured wrist but is expected to start on Sunday against the Browns.

Curtis Martin will start: Jets RB Curtis Martin will start this Sunday's game against the Jags. Martin practiced on Thursday and will get the bulk of the carries for the Jets.

Michael Bennett still the starter?: Vikings RB Mewelde Moore has received the bulk of the first string carries in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. Their are rumors of a trade between the Vikings and Cards involving Michael Bennett but take them with a grain of salt, in season trades rarely happen in the NFL. The Vikings will likely rotate their RBs like the always do so play any Viking RB at your own risk.

McGahee challenged by Mularkey: Bills RB Willis McGahee was challenged by his Head Coach to be more decisive running the ball this week. Mularkey feels Willis has been doing to much dancing and wants to see his stud RB hit the holes quicker and harder.
